The weather and water in Vormsi are usually nicer and
warmer than in other parts of Estonia. The reason for
this is the insular position of Vormsi and the airflow
movements. It happens quite often that in Haapsalu, i.e.
10 km from us, it rains cats and dogs but in Vormsi the
sun shines and you cannot see a single raindrop. And the
water is warmer, too. For example, when the water temperature
was only +12°C in Pirita Beach in Tallinn, the water
temperature in Sviby Beach was +28°C. The differences
in degrees are not always so remarkable but the probability
that the weather would be nice in Vormsi is relatively
high, especially during the second half of summer. The
